My Drive Home

I left for the remaining 7 hours of my drive home on Wednesday afternoon. The Grand Canyon is so beautiful. It's amazing how deep it is! I was also blown away by the way some people live. There were houses seriously built out of plywood and anything else people could get their hands on. Makes me grateful for all I have.

Headed Back Home to Oo-tah

My mom calls Utah, Oo-tah. I think it's funny. =) So I headed back from my mom's house to Flagstaff on Tuesday night. Oh, before I forget my mom and I went walking on Tuesday before I left town. We went to the Mogollon Rim.

The next morning, Dani and I went walking. I'm not sure where we were. It's where Dani did a dig (last year?). This is a picture of where she dug.

Arizo-NI-A

I decided, spur-of-the-moment, to go to Arizona this past weekend. Well, it was more than a weekend....try 5 days. It was a much-needed break. I left Saturday morning and drove for 7 hours until I reached Dani's house in Flagstaff. We hung out, went to breakfast, did our traditional stop for Mexican Hot Chocolate, did some gardening (check out the background-that's all us) and drove around Flagstaff. I don't think I ever want to live there....=)Sunday after breakfast I made the 2-hour journey to my mom's house in Lakeside, AZ. I mostly relaxed while I was there, ate out a lot and looked at property.

Farm Country, USA

Steph and I took the kids to Farm Country today. The kids had a lot of fun. There were ADORABLE baby lambs and goats there. They were so dang cute!!! The kids also went on pony rides. Of course Jordan was too cool to ride...

And yes...I cut Haylee's hair today. OK, so I BUTCHED it. She likes it, though. And Jordan told her "Wow, you look a lot better like that!" But Lauren told her she looks like a boy. Funny kids...

Manicure?

I just got a manicure this last Friday....this is what my nails look like after only FOUR days. Ridiculous, no? Is it me or the person who did my nails???

It's a Hair Thing.

Heather sent me this cute blog http://shedoeshair.blogspot.com/search/label/Flippy%20Ponytails . This chick does her 3 girls' hair everyday. And they're totally cute do's! So I'm going to try to do Haylee, Lauren and Elizabeth's hair everyday. I'm horrible at doing their hair unless we're going somewhere. If my neighbor's didn't know us, they'd think my kids were orphans! Here's their hair today. Nothing spectacular like on that website but it's DONE....that's what matters!

Haylee Get's Baptized!

Haylee turned 8 on March 12, 2008. She was baptized this last Saturday, April 12th, by Daddy Chris. Haylee was so excited. When she came out of the water the first thing she said to me was "Now all my sins are washed away!" How cute! She tried ALL day to be so good so she wouldn't sin again. I love it!
Haylee got a pretty new white dress to wear on the day of her baptism. Mom did her hair in 2 french braids w/lots of pretty white flowers going down the braid. Haylee loved it.

Haylee's Dad

Haylee's dad came into town for a couple days for her eighth birthday. We kept it a surprise until he was actually here. She was definitely surprised and oh-so-excited! I'm lame and didn't take pictures til right before he left. Oops! They had a lot of fun together, though. Anything she wanted to play or do he was totally willing to play or do with her. She loved every second of it. Brandon...come more often!

Elizabeth's 2nd Birthday

Elizabeth's birthday was March 11th. We celebrated a few days early since Haylee's dad came into town ON Elizabeth's actual birthday, which happens to be the day before Haylee's birthday. =) We didn't have a party. Just cake and presents. Elizabeth didn't seem to mind.
