Jordan & Zach were both in terrible need of a haircut. I finally did it on Monday.

Father's Day
For Father's Day we went up Provo Canyon to Vivian Park. It was a really nice day. We had a picnic lunch, played frisbee, skateboarded and played on the playground. OK, Chris and the kids played, while I sat there and relaxed. Hey, someone had to take the pictures! =)

Today
It was Dairy Days today and yesterday at Farm Country so we decided to take the kids today. They love seeing the animals there...as usual, but today there were games as well. The kids also got to make home-made ice cream and butter. I let them spread their own little (VERY little) jar of butter on a piece of bread when we got home. They thought it was great. All except Jordan...he's starting to get too cool to do that kind of stuff and play games. =)
Afterwards we brought the kids home, had a babysitter come over and we took the boys to see Iron Man. It was an AWESOME movie. Really good...seriously. I want that body armor! I'd go save the world. It was a good movie and a good story line. I loved it. The movie got cut-off about 10 minutes into it and it took about 15 minutes to get it back up and running. So they gave everyone who was there free movie passes! When we were done with the movie we went to Charlie Boy's BBQ Pit...where Emmit's used to be. They're pretty good. And there was a ton of people just hanging out on the grass, eating food, eating home-made ice-cream and just listening to the live band. It was blue-grass type music but it made for a fun atmosphere. Charlie definitely knows how to run a business! Oh, and by the way, we got our food free! It's all about the connections baby... =)
So it was basically a free night for us, except the babysitter. AND we didn't pay to get into farm country...guess that doesn't count, though, since we did pay for a membership there. =)

Zach is "That Child"
You know how most families have "that kid"...the one that is always getting hurt, mostly because they're doing dumb things that most other kids wouldn't? Well, that's Zach. Fortunately, most everything he's done so far to get injured hasn't been too bad...yet. (knock on wood) Take for instance Zach jumping on top of Jordan when Jordan wasn't expecting it and putting his legs up to protect his face (he was laying down). Well...Zach got a knee in has face which made him bite through his lower lip. Poor Jordan was so worried about me getting mad about blood on the carpet that he cupped his hands under Zach's mouth as he guided him up the stairs. Am I really that mean???
Well...just a couple days later....who's bleeding...again??? Yes. Zach. This time the kids were all outside playing on the patio. Zach was walking backwards and tripped as he turned around and fell right into the handle bar of the scooter Lauren was standing on. And not just into the handle bar but the EDGE of the handle bar. You know where the foam padding is supposed to be over the ends where you put your hands? And the foam always seems to come off so of course there was no foam there. His cheek went right into the sharp metal edge and left a wonderful gash. Needless to say I took him to urgent care and the doc stiched it up nicely. Zach was very brave and was rewarded with gum. Yes, gum. I had offered him ice cream if he was good, but he requested gum. So after the doctor was done with him he was somehow under the impression he was getting BOTH. And somehow he manipulated me into agreeing with it. =)

Hold Up...
OK, I thought I was having issues signing into my blog so I haven't tried posting in a while. I just tried and it works. Either 1)I was dreaming I was having issues (which is VERY likely) or 2)I really was having issues and now it miraculously works or 3)I'm retarded (which is very likely as well). So I'm gonna post. Just have some patience.
love jess
